eSchool® Online pioneered the development and delivery of rich multiple media online "convergent" content. In fact, our software application is based upon two patents issued by the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
eSchool® Online's focus on converging video and web content for educational applications grew out of early interactive and distributed learning instructional design work performed for the major distance learning networks. In 1997, eSchool® Online released version 1.5 with the intention of providing a rich media platform to would marry the narrative power of video with the interactive and collaborative functionality of the web for the delivery of instructional and professional development material to the K-12 marketplace. Through the years, we led the way in developing and refining the delivery of "broadband" type content to a "narrowband" marketplace.
Over the past six years, we have worked with some of the largest districts in the country, leading state departments of education and top educational publishers to develop and deliver state-of-the-art online content to their constituencies. Today's eSchool® Online version 4.01 utilizes standard Internet technology and will support any end user condition - from narrowband through broadband requiring streaming video.
eSchool® Online has collaborated with its client base to develop customized online content in the virtually all areas of the curriculum, including: balanced literacy, early childhood reading, multi-lingual education, math K-8, algebra, science, social studies, induction, classroom management, mentoring, and technology training.
eSchool® Online is dedicated to be the leader in advancing the art of integrating video with web functionality for K-12 applications so that our clients will be able to consistently point to measurable improvements in teaching quality and student achievement.
